Morgan - June 15 2012/December 28 2012

Morgan

0 January 11, 2013 in Felines
June 15 2012/December 28 2012

Morgan was just a baby when lymphoma took him. He was a sweetheart, a total lap kitty, who always wanted to be involved in whatever you were doing. When I picked him out at the shelter, I promised him I would take care of him. Sadly, he was diagnosed with lymphoma when he was only about 6 months old. He had been doing okay, he'd had a stuffed nose and had been eating less for a couple days, but then he stopped moving. He was completely limp. I rushed him to the vet, where they found a mass, and figured out it was lymphoma. At his age, the vet said it was caused by leukemia, which he was negative for, or genetics. So, unfortunately, there was nothing we could do except to end his pain. He was ready to go. We kept his tiny body as warm as we could until we put him to sleep forever. Morgan was a great kitten whose life was just meant to be short. I'll always love and miss him, but I'm happy that I was able to give him a loving home for his short life.
