KC, self appointed king ... 4/14/12

KC

0 April 17, 2012 in Felines
I found KC on my way home from work one day in 1999, he was sitting outside an apartment very close to a main road. I asked people going in and out of the apartment if they knew who he belonged to, no one had seen him before. He darted out into the road while I watched him and when I chased him back to the sidewalk he ran up a small tree. I went to the store next door to see if they had a ladder to get him down, they did and also told me he had been with a homeless person in their parking lot for hours and the person had left without him, so home with me he came!

He was about a year old then, he came into our home and immediately took over as boss, we had 7 kitties at the time and everyone seemed OK with that, there really wasn't a ruler amongst them.

Inquisitive and always the first to welcome people into our home, he would walk right up to you and put his face up to yours. KC would ask for attention when he wanted it ... the last few months he started sleeping on Mikes side of the bed when Mike was sick, he almost never slept in the bedroom.  The the last month or so he wanted me to hold him while I worked on the computer and was sleeping on my pillow, I knew something was going on.

He was diagnosed with a very aggressive cancer and left us on April 14th, 2012, just a week and a half after all the tests to find out what was going on.

We miss you 'sweet baby', give Joey a smooch and visit often!
