Emily's Case Study

Other Diseases/Conditions:
Hyperthyroidism

Story: Emily was diagnosed in Dec 2007 of Lymphoma. She really did not have the classic signs of it. It seemed to me that she was not eating as much as usual and had a vomitting episode one morning. I tought her thyroid medicine needed to be adjusted again. I took her to the Vet and he kept her for 4 days. She refused to eat anything. I became Very concerned. They took a x-ra and found a spot. My Vet told me to take her out of there and to a Cancer specialist. He took a ultra sound and found more spots. He said that he did not want to do a biopsy. She has had 3 chemo treatments 3 weeks apart. She is on Chlorambucil, and Prednisonle 5mg twice a day. She has gained 2 lbs since then. Eating very well. I give her once a week 150ml of Sub-Q fluids. She is more active now then she has been in a long time. It is very hard not knowing the outcome of all this.

I am awaiting the call from the Dr. today for her labs to see if she is ok to start round 4 of Chemo on Friday. Please keep her in your prayers.

Outcome: Out come is on going.
