Salem's Story
by Eraine

Salem began having bloody diarrhea and intermittent vomiting nearly a year ago. We were in the vets office weekly trying and testing for everything. After months of no relief he was assumed to have IBS, irritable bowel syndrome and we assumed diarrhea was just going to be his normal. A month ago he started losing weight again so he had an abdominal exploratory where we discovered his messintary and intestinal lymph nodes were in infiltrated with something, histopath confirmed low grade GI lymphoma. He began his COP protocol yesterday(1-8-13). Salem is nearly 9 years old, had him since he was a kitten found near a dumpster and has been my best friend. He is now also my 3 year old daughter's best friend too. We are praying for remission and the opportunity to have more time with him.
