next story >>
Other Diseases/Conditions:
Hyperthyroid, mild HCM, Heart Murmur

Story: Max was diagnosed at age 13 via endoscopy. He was originally on the COP protocol, but he developed a pulmonary edema after 2 weeks of chemotherapy. Put chemotherapy on hold while heart was stabilized. Placed on Leukeran and had a short remission of 6 weeks before he started to crash. Did one last vincristine injection that didn't help.

Outcome: Went into heart failure and was PTS 6/3/2004.
