Tiffany 's Story
by Elise

Tiffany was first diagnosed 12/07 with CRF early stage 2. She did well for a year and then was eating less and less. She vomited several times a week and her stool was like pudding. Ultrasound done in 2008 showed severe IBD or lymphoma. Endoscopy confirmed intermediate cell and she was put on chemo injections. Induction went well except for sneezing which I think was herpes and l-lysine eliminated that. Then her low white count required two doses of neupogen. An undetected UTI required hospitalization and acute kidney failure. She came home requiring lots of meds and daily fluids. The oncologist refused to treat her any more for lymphoma. Her only medication for that became 10 mg prednisolone. She was reated with epogen for the resultant anemia and later had bouts of pancreatitis requiring two hospitalizations. August 2009 an ultrasound showed the cancer was out of remission. I tried one more hospitalization for her pancreatitis and last ditch efforts with another oncologist. She said she never would have stopped chemo. We tried elspar and leukeran but I lost her 8//09.
